Most "registry cleaner" products on the internet have a bad rep. We designed WindoCURE to use very low system resources, and also added some major features that are missing from other tools...
1. Registry compacting or defragging removes wasted space and gaps from your registry. The gaps are commonly caused by uninstalling multiple programs over time. After the registry has been compacted, the gaps and empty space will be removed. Afterwards whenever an application tries to access the registry, it should be quicker.
2. The reason most advanced users don't use registry cleaners is because they generally delete "every key at once". WindoCURE allows you to inspect found registry keys more to make sure you don't delete something important. Just right-click any registry key and click "Open With RegEdit..." and you can snoop around to figure out if it shouldn't be deleted.
3. Automatic registry backups are made before cleaning and compacting the registry. They are stored by default in the following folder: C:\Program Files\WindoCURE\Backups
Common Signs of a Corrupt Registry
- PC taking forever to startup
- Programs taking forever to load
- Programs constantly freezing up
- Random error messages that make no sense
- Blue Screen of Death (though this can mean other software/hardware problems as well)
There's a high probability that you've already encountered at least one of these issues while simply hoping it would stop on its own. The truth is you probably haven't been using your computer at it's full potential since around the first time you purchased it (if it was new).
Don't worry though, it's not your fault. When it comes to buying computers and learning basic computer maintenance, the topic of registry maintenance isn't normally the first thing you hear about.
The reason is because cleaning out a computer's registry manually isn't a simple task. If you're not an expert with Windows®, you could end up losing a lot of your important data that's stored on your computer. Obviously you could hire someone to do it for you, but that would just end up costing you A LOT more money.
